Prof. Dr. Levend Kılıç
Levend Kılıç was born in Eskişehir in 1953. After graduating from Ankara University’s SBF School of Press and Broadcasting in 1976, he continued his applied and academic studies in Photography, Media Esthetics and Distance Education at Anadolu University, and completed his PhD in 1985. He became an associate professor in 1988 and professor in 1993.
His published academic works are: Visual Esthetics, Video Art: A Critical Approach, Starting Photography, Social History of Photography and Cinema, and Culture of Photography. He still delivers undergraduate and graduate lectures in Visual Esthetics, Optical View, and Video arts at the Communications Department of Anadolu University.
Kılıç became involved in the Education Volunteers movement at a volunteering event at Anadolu University in 1993. Then, with the foundation of TEGV, he oversaw various projects for the Foundation, and became a member of the Board of Directors from 1999 to 2004. He is currently Assistant Chairman of the Board of Directors and a member of the Board of Trustees.
