The I Read I Play Project’s key communication activity is the Colouring Pens Project. It brings children together to create a Colouring Pens Newspaper with news from their hometown. It’s a newspaper project created by children.
Colouring Pens enhances children’s achievements from the I Read I Play Education Program, and supports them in becoming individuals who read, think and are aware of media literacy.
Within the scope of the project, the children work on the newspaper’s layout, headings and news selection, under the guidance of experienced journalists and volunteers, and work on preparing the newspaper for publication.
